Cancellation and Payment Policy

  • Cancellations within 01 to 15 days of the arrival date – 100% of the value of the booking
  • Cancellations within 16 to 30 days of the arrival date – 50% of the value of the booking
  • Cancellations beyond 30 days of the arrival date – Fee of USD 50 will be withheld for the work carried out
  • 50% payment to be made upon confirmation and the balance to be paid 15
    working days prior to arrival

Sri Lanka Hill Country – Itinerary in Detail

Day 1: Kandy

Get up-close and personal with the gentle giants at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, on route to Kandy. Observe the daily routine of these majestic creatures as they are fed and cared for by experienced mahouts. Schedule your visit to coincide with the elephants’ bathing and feeding times and you and your family are guaranteed to have a memorable experience. (And yes, your kids are allowed to pet them).

If you leave Colombo at 6.30am, you can make it to Pinnawala by 8.30am. Bottle feeding time: 9.15am/13.15pm /17.00pm. Bath time – 10.00am/14.00pm.Breakfast will be served at a location near Pinnawala.

Before making your way to the Hills of Sri Lanka from Pinnawala, you will visit the Giragama Tea Plantation and then check out the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, home to over 4000 species of exotic flora from various parts of the world and a true feast for the senses. The lush greenery provides a great backdrop for all your family photos and selfies.

And then, off to Kandy we go. Sitting on a plateau 500 meters above sea level, Kandy is, in essence, the heart and soul of the island.

Check in to the hotel, and wind down for the rest of the day.

Day2: Kandy

You will be taken on a city tour after breakfast – an excursion that will include a stroll around the world famous Kandy Lake. If you want to buy Sri Lankan handicrafts and souvenirs, Kandy is the place. On Day 2, you can shop in and around the city premises to your heart’s content.

After lunch, take a boat ride on the lake to give your evening that extra bit of serenity. The day will end with a magnificent traditional dance show at 5pm.

Day 3: Haputale

Breakfast will be served at the hotel, and then make a move to Haputale Via Nuwara Eliya.

Make a quick stop at Nuwara Eliya by the Gregory Lake to get a few selfies or to enjoy a snack by this picturesque lake.

After lunch head towards Haputale, a mountain range so picturesque it could be something straight out of a postcard.

Check in at the hotel, and enjoy the rest of your evening, letting the cool climate wash over you like a long awaited shower.

The night will be spent at the hotel in Haputale.

Day 4: Haputale/Ella

Rise and shine! This is going to be a day to remember, with a killer view to boot.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel, after which you can head out to Lipton's Seat, located 1970m above sea level, providing you a bird's eye view of five different provinces. It is to die for. April to August would be the best time to visit this truly magnificent place. You can also pay an informative visit to the Dambetenne Tea Factory to learn how world famous Ceylon Tea is made.

Drive toElla and visit theDambulla Nine Arch Bridge, one of the famous sites to be visited in Ella. This bridge which is also known as'the Bridge in the sky’, is located about 10 minutes away from theDemodara Railway Station .

If time permits take hike to Little Adam’s peak to enjoy a stunning view of the hill country in Sri Lanka.

The night will be spent at the hotel in Haputale.

Day 3: Departure

Quick breakfast at the hotel, and we set off straight to the airport as it will be a 5-6 hour ride.
